Monkey Plans

I get asked often enough how I came to be... well just like you I was made! Well maybe the process is a little different but I think we can agree that having a sock monkey in your life is good and I will now show you how it was done.

My mom Steph and Great Grandma Debbie took this instructions found here and used them as DNA blue prints.

Steph found my monkey pelts from Red Heal socks online and had them sent. The rest was easy enough to get at Wal-mart.

Steph told me the story of how I was born and it went something like this... It was a cold day in February when she decided she needed a sock monkey pal (why? Only her and Erin know truly why). She convinced GG Debbie to help her bring me to life as she had a great DNA mixer sometimes called a sewing machine. Anyway it took about 4hrs and her sister Shelly helping too to get me all put together! They all thought I needed a shirt and because GG Debbie is crazy cool with that sewing machine she whipped me up a yellow shirt. I hope she'll make me more for X-mas this year! (hint hint)

Anyway I hope this helps, be sure and let me know if you need me to ask them for some help putting your new monkey pal together!

I Went camping!

I have to say my camping trip while long ago was a lot of fun. I went to Roaring river with Steph, Christy, and Bill. I was very happy to see that Amy, Montana, and Benji were able to stop by for a visit. Sorry the pic here was real blurry but I think they'd been drinking! LOL

So let me tell you… we went to Roaring River which is a trout park. For those who don’t know much about it you can go there and fish for trout that has been raised there at the park. They let a certain number of fish go each day so everyone has a good chance of catching some. I like that idea! Lots of yummy fish to catch. They are harder to catch than you think though!

Here is Bill and Steph giving it a go...

When we got there we went to the campgrounds and got to setting things up. It’d rained some that day and things were wet but it got better as the night went along.

I just hung around while they set things up...

After we set up we got to go over to where the hatchery was. I just had to see all those fish! If you can believe this some of them were big enough to eat ME!

Steph thought it’d be fun to catch one but instead we settled for just feeding them trout kibble. LOL trout kibble!

Steph did decide to do something funny/stupid. She fell down! I wasn’t there as I was sleeping in back at the tent, but when she got back she had a pretty big ouch. She took off to take a shower and I headed to get the 1st aid. While Christy is a Nurse and all, I told her “I got this one! Your on vacation” I figured all my monkey doctor schooling would help out one day and it did. So I 1st

had to tell her it was all ok.

And then I had to clean it up

And here I am applying the bandage and taping. I think I did a fine job if you ask me!

Wow how exciting. I did some more stuff while there, and I'm going to get that posted real soon. I played poker so be sure and come back soon!
